Teens face many stressors in today’s society, including the pressure to earn high grades in school, be successful in competitive sports, pressure from friendships and social media, and pressure at home. This two hour workshop will focus on the stressors that teens face today, and provide practical tools that teens can use to help cope with stress and anxiety, leading to a greater feeling of well-being. The format will include: Group discussion in a safe environment An all levels yoga practice Breathing techniques to help ease the physical symptoms of anxiety Practical skills and strategies to cope with stress Creative techniques to get in touch with feelings and put them in perspective. Dawn Altman, M.S., NCC, E-RYT- 500 is a certified counselor with a private practice in Bryn Mawr, where she treats adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and other issues.
