Women of Oz April Group Ride

Join us for our monthly ride Saturday, April 6th at 3pm from the Bentonville Square.  We will have ride leaders for skill levels between Beginner to Advanced.  If you're new to mountain biking, we highly encourage you to sign up for the Beginner Skills Clinic lead by one of our awesome Leaders/Instructors.  We'll rally together post-ride at Yeyo's at 8th Street Market for socializing food/drinks.   1. Beginner Clinic for New Riders: Intro to Mountain Biking 101. This clinic is for women completely new to mountain biking or those looking to brush up on the entry level skills.  Our goal is to get you familiar with your bike and learn basic mountain biking skills. This clinic will cover pre-ride bike check, braking, shifting, pedals positions, ready/neutral position, bike body separation and much more.

  2. Beginner RideThe beginner ride is for women who have completed a beginner clinic and are ready to put their newly learned skills into practice.  Riders should feel comfortable with their bike, have basic mountain biking skill knowledge and be ready to ride 2-7 miles of easy-paced green/blue trails. We will re-group as necessary to rest, hydrate and answer questions. Trails will be mostly flat, dirt single track with minimal obstacles. 2. Beginner+ RideCasually paced rides ideal for advanced beginners who are comfortable on their mountain bike and moderate trails. Trails may include moderately steep climbs and descents, single-track, small obstacles and light technical features. Typically, riders in this category have been on more than 5 mountain bike rides, have good stamina and are ready to push their limits some and develop additional skills.
Distances may be up to 7-10 miles. 3. Intermediate RideFaster paced ride ideal for riders who are ready to kick it up a notch with faster descending and steeper single track climbs. Riders in this category have been on 15+ rides. The route will include blue & black trails with technical features, drops and riders should have very good stamina. Distances may be up to 12-15 miles. 4. Advanced RIdeFast-paced, intense and challenging.  Ideal for consistent, faster riders, will be constantly moving, taking breaks only to re-group at major intersections. These are rides designed to build your stamina to the next level, as the pace will often be set by faster riders out front. Trails may include very steep, technical climbs and descents, single-track, obstacles and technical features.
Distances may be 15+ miles or more.  .
