Watsonville Rotary Maine Lobster Feast & Auction

Upon your arrival at our Maine Lobster Feast & Auction, you will be greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and ushered into our reception area, decorated with touches of Atlantic seaside decor that will transport you to the coast of Maine for the evening. Top off your glass at the full bar and enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres, social time and live music while you peruse and bid on a wide assortment of quality offerings on our silent auction tables.   At 7 p.m., you'll be directed to your table to enjoy a sumptuous meal, from salad and garlic bread to freshly prepared Maine lobster in the shell, served with grilled sausage, baked potato, corn on the cob, coffee and dessert.  You won't go home hungry. (Meat or vegetarian alternative meals must be ordered at time of ticket purchase).  Around 8 p.m., our exciting live auction will kick off with 10-12 quality items that will include vacations, special get-away packages, exclusive dinners, collectable wines and unique experiences you won't easily find elsewhere.

  FAQs  Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? No one under age 21 will be admitted to the event.  Guests must be prepared to show a government-issued identification if asked.  What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Free parking is available at the fairgrounds parking lot.  Will tickets be available at the door?  Sorry but all tickets must be purchased in advance to ensure that we have enough delicious lobster flown in from Maine to feed all our guests. Does my ticket purchase include a hosted bar? Your ticket purchase includes a complimentary glass of sparkling wine upon arrival, plus two drink tickets which you can redeem for wine or beer at the bar. Additional drinks may be purchased at the bar on a cash basis.
(Sorry: No checks or credit cards can be accepted at the bar). Is there an administrative fee for tickets purchased on line? Yes, for the convenience of buying your ticket on line there is a $7.72 processing fee per ticket. What's the refund policy? Tickets to this charitable event are non-refundable.  If you find you are unable to attend, just let us know and we will gladly convert you ticket purchase to an outright donation, making it fully tax-deductible under IRS rules. Another option, in the event your plans change unexpectantly, is to give your tickets to family members or friends. How many guests are seated at each table?  Eight Is seating assigned?  Our event sponsors are assigned to specific tables to accommodate their guests. If you let us know early that you have a group of eight who would like to sit together (and your tickets are paid for), we will accommodate you at a single table of eight whenever possible.
Otherwise seating is open. While we can’t guarantee seating preferences for smaller groupings, we will make every effort to accommodate requests from guests who would like to sit together. Is any portion of my ticket purchase deductible?  Tickets are $100 per person. The amount of your ticket purchase that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the amount contributed, reduced by the value of any goods or services provided by the organization. Accordingly, $32 of each admission to this event is eligible for an income tax deduction. How can I pay for any auction purchases I may make? We accept cash, checks and major credit cards to pay for any auction purchases you may make. Do I have to pay for my auction items and take them with me on the night of the event?  Yes and yes.
As an all-volunteer organization, our goal is to complete all transactions on the night of the event. How will Watsonville Rotary Foundation use the net proceeds of this event? The Pajaro Valley’s at-risk children and teens are those who face barriers to leading safe, stable and productive lives. These barriers often include poverty, low literacy, gang violence, domestic violence, limited access to medical care. To this end, net proceeds from this event will provide the primary source of our foundation's grantmaking to local nonprofit organizations that strive to prevent youth violence, develop youth skills, and encourage our youth to stay in school. We also award scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to attend colleges and vocational schools. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? We recommend you bring your printed tickets or your cell phone to validate your purchase.
 Can I update my registration information? Yes.  If you are unable to do so through Eventbrite, contact Cindy or Kathleen.  Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes.  If you are unable to do so through Eventbrite, contact Cindy or Kathleen.  Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, as long as you let us know in advance that you have given your ticket to someone else.
