Under the Shell - Understanding Our Oyster

Question? contact Reserve Education Specialist, Eric Dean, at 541.888.5558 ext. 126 or eric.s.dean@dsl.state.or.us Come to the Charleston Marine Life Center before it opens to the public and participate in a morning of activities about the mighty oyster. Ideal for ages 6 to 10, but fun for the whole family. Through a guided dissection, learn about how the oyster is one of the planet’s best natural water filters. Create your own pop-up scene about how these important oysters support all kinds of life in our coastal ecosystems, and learn about ongoing research the South Slough is doing on our native oyster, the Olympia Oyster. After the workshop feel free to explore the entirety of the CMLC during its regular hours with no additional fee. Registration required. [Max - 20] ($6/person) Reserve your place online for free.
