Description The Tubac Center of the Arts presents a new an exciting season in our Performing Arts series with nationally and internationally renowned performers from across the United States. DANIKA ND THE JEB: October 25, 2019 Danika & the Jeb are dynamic, uplifting, and fun. Their music is a soulful combination of artfully written songs and powerful musical phrasing. The can sing. They can play. See them before they play huge arenas and win Country Music Awards. FREYA CREECH: November 8, 2019 Freya's virtuosic violin (and British charm) have wowed audiences across Europe with performances at Royal Festival Hall in London, Festspielhaus in Salzburg, and Herculessaal in Munich. She has played with the renowned Rose Quartet and as part of the Salzburg Philharmonie.
Freya is excited for the imminent release of her first album, featuring the little known, yet very beautiful, 10 Caprices for Solo Violin by Sonia Eckhardt-Gramatté. WOLFE BOWART: December 14, 2019 Wolfe typically plays very large houses from Australia to New York but brings an intimate show to the Tubac Center of the Arts. Winner of numerous national and international awards and fellowships, he has also been invited to the prestigious London International Mime Festival, Wolfe's work has been called "hilarious, gentle, and beautiful vision of theatre." ROBERTO CAPOCCHI: January 17, 2020 Can Roberto play guitar? Um, yeah. Roberto has won top prizes in competitions such as the Sholin Memorial, Stevens Guitar Competition, Young Concert Artists, Villa-Lobos Competition, Souza Lima Guitar Competition, Aracatuba Festival, Saint Marcelina Chamber Music Competition, and Mozarteum Competition. He has been a semi-finalist at the Guitar Foundation of America Solo Guitar Competition and Portland Guitar Festival, and he was the only solo guitarist selected for the 1997 Premio Eldorado de Musica. TAKE3: January 31, 2020 With a flair for the wild and unexpected, the genre-bending trio brings the refinement of a rigorous classical background and infuses it with rock star charisma. Whether performing their take on pop, jazz, or classical tunes, they bring enthusiasm to their interpretations and impart their love of music to audiences across the country and abroad. MORIAH TRENK: February 28, 2020 Moriah is a prizewinner of various competitions; including the Hudson Valley Music Club competition, the NYU Art of Solo and Collaborative Piano Award, the Yonkers Concerto Competition, the YWCA and Korean Daily News Piano Competition, the International Concert Alliance Piano Competition, and runner up in the Westfield Concerto Competition. Moriah has been selected to perform in masterclasses with leading performers such as Vladimir Feltsman, Alexander Kobrin, and Carter Brey. She previously studied with Paul Ostrovsky and Sara Davis Buechner. Working with dozens of orchestras and chamber ensembles, Moriah will charm you with this intimate performance. REINCARNATION, a play performed by The Thalia Theatre. March 20, 2020 The history of mankind often retold as a history of misery is performed here as the long story of love. Sometimes comic, sometimes tragic, Reincarnation tells the tale of two lovers throughout history reinvented in many lifetimes. Created through grants by the NEA and the Stern Foundation.
