Tour the Catacombs!

A vast expanse of brick barrel arches, the catacombs are all that remain of Tomlinson Hall, which burned in 1958 and was torn down by the city. Visitors can see the huge limestone pillars that supported the hall, explore the network of arches, and learn the history of the underground labyrinth, which includes its use as a storage facility during the flood of 1913, and a refuge for the city’s homeless during the bitterest winters. Please, No Bare Toes City Market Catacombs are an undeveloped historic asset and are not handicapped accessible. The Catacombs feature a very rough, uneven dirt floor. The tour is not navigable for guests with walkers, canes, strollers, or wheelchairs. We recommend closed-toed shoes. ALERT TO PEOPLE WITH BREATHING SENSITIVITIES: The Catacombs are a musty, sometimes damp area.

Guests are required to sign a waiver of liability to take the Catacombs tour. There are two tours. First is at 6:30 pm and the second is at 7:30 pm. After your tour, enjoy a Sun King beer at the Tomlinson Tap Room. 100% of your ticket price benefits the Domestic Violence Network.

Will the 730 tour be no children?
