Program begins at 6:30 p.m. Memoir, Travel Writing, Personality Profile Writing, and more are all varieties of Creative Nonfiction, the best-selling literary form in the United States today. Learn how successful writers of creative nonfiction approach their work and how they employ techniques of fiction writing to tell entirely true stories. Join us at the Friends' Community Bookstore - Friends of the Marina Library for this unique creative writing event. About the presenter: A widely-published writer of fiction and nonfiction, Henry Marchand teaches in the Creative Writing Program at MPC. Winner of the Monterey Community Foundation's 2017 Allen Griffin Award for Excellence in Teaching, his Spring Semester 2018 courses include Creative Nonfiction Writing, Fiction Writing, and Creative Writing II (Fiction, Poetry, & Creative Nonfiction).
