St. Luke’s Magic Valley Weight Loss Challenge - Ongoing Registration 2018-2019 Individuals who wish to join the Challenge after the November 2nd deadline can register, pay, and receive all the benefits of the program but WILL NOT qualify to compete for prize money. $50 After November 3 - January$35 February - June$25 July – September Program Details Below This fun and motivational community program encourages and supports individuals to make healthy lifestyle changes, become more active and lose a modest amount of weight. The goal is for overweight / obese individuals to lose 7% by the end of the challenge. There are tons of great tools and resources that come with your registration. Continuous Support A 2-week online “jump start” plan with recipes and shopping listsMonthly e-tips and recipesInformation via Facebook and the Weekly EmailsConnections with others like you who are working to improve their healthActivity & Exercise Resources Special, $15.00 monthly membership rate to the College of Southern Idaho Recreation CenterNO initiation fees, NO contracts and NO automatic withdrawalsAccess to the CSI Student Rec.

There are three weigh-ins opportunities remaining to help with accountability – a 90-day in January, a 180-day in April and the final one in September. FAQs How often do I need to weigh-in? There are THREE remaining weigh-ins for the 2018 program. Final: September 16-20, 2019 (7% body weight lost by final weigh-in)How do I earn a FREE entry into the FitOne 5k in September 2018? Make the first two weigh-ins (90-day in January; and 180-day in April) and lose 3% of your bodyweight by the 180-day weigh-in, you will earn a free entry into the FitOne 5k walk/run in September 2019.
*Free entry is non-transferable; must register for FitOne by Sept 1, 2019 Do I have to register online? Yes, it’s the ONLY registration option as it helps ensure the accuracy of your information. Visit What should I wear when I weigh-in? For your FIRST and FINAL weigh-in, please wear a t-shirt and shorts/capris/sweats. NO JEANS OR HEAVY CLOTHING are allowed at the FIRST and FINAL weigh-ins. What if I miss a weigh-in? You will still be in the Challenge but you will be ineligible to win cash prizes. You will continue to receive e-tips, and you can attend any of the classes and programs. It’s the ONE and ONLY rule that keeps you in the running for the prize money so please plan accordingly. Don’t wait until the last day to weigh-in. When is the Finale? We will award all of the prize money following Friday, Sept 20, 2019.
There is no specific event you must attend in order to be eligible for the prize money. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? All St. Luke’s Magic Valley Weight Loss Challenge contestants must be 18 years or older, with no physical or medical restrictions. St. Luke’s recommends the supervision of a medical professional before changing or modifying your diet or exercise plan. The following conditions will disqualify a participant from winning cash prizes: Weight reduction medical procedures of any type TWO YEARS PRIOR to OR DURING the Weight Loss Challenge. This includes but is not limited to surgical bypass, lap-band, or liposuction procedures.A Body Mass Index (BMI) under 18.5 (the Challenge promotes weight loss to a healthy BMI range of 18.5-25.0)Pregnancy during the ChallengeWhere are the monthly weigh in sites? You will receive weekly emails with a jumpstart plan, helpful tips, recipes, events and tools to help you on your journey. You are also eligible for the $5.00 discount off the CSI Recreation Center Gym and 2 FREE punch passes each month to the YMCA of Twin Falls. Can I get my money back? Please read all of the requirements and rules of the Challenge prior to registering as all registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE and non-transferable to next year’s event, NO exceptions.
