Scott Ward Memorial - Fit for Duty 5K Run/Walk

Scott Ward: Baldwin County Sheriff Deputy Scott Ward was killed in the line of duty November 23, 2012 while on a domestic disturbance call.  Scott believed in fitness and healthy nutrition. Scott’s favorite hobbies were working out with his wife, Andrea, at the Daphne YMCA, personal training, and helping others to live a fit and healthy lifestyle. Scott strongly believed in supporting the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program and the Shining Star Camp.   Benefits: The Fallen Officer's Memorial Park in Robertsdale, AL   Sponsored by:  The Scott Ward Memorial Fund and the Baldwin Sheriff’s Office   Location: Daphne Middle School, 1 Jody Davis Circle, Daphne, AL   Distance: 5K course; fun run approximately 1 mile     Start Times: 8:00 AM – Memorial Service         8:15 AM – 5K Start         9:00 AM – Fun Run Start        Registration:  Register by mail (entries should be postmarked by November 9, in person at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri or Fleet Feet in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope until noon on November 14, or online until 4 AM November 15.  Packet pick-up and race day registration at Daphne Middle School, 1 Jody Davis Circle, Daphne, AL 6:30 to 7:45 AM.

     Entry fees: Fees include race shirt, entry to post race party, and eligibility for door prizes.   Awards: 5K:  Top male and female, and top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-69, 70-75, and 75+. FUN RUN:  Top 3 overall boys and girls, must be registered for the FUN RUN   Shirts: Participants registered by November 1 will be guaranteed a t-shirt in the size requested on race day. After November 1, tee shirts cannot be guaranteed.   Post-Race: Food, beverages, awards presentation and music..
