Return of James Lee Stanley
Rockford Urban Ministries presents singer/song writer James Lee Stanley on Friday, March 15, at a very intimate performance at JustGoods fair trade store’s “Listening Room” (201 Seventh Street). The space can only seat 50 people, so tickets are for first come, they will be lucky to be served. Tickets $20 each sold in advance at JustGoods and a percentage of sales will go towards the work of Rockford Urban Ministries, or call RUM at 815-964-7111. James Lee Stanley is well known among Rockford music fans. A long-time performer at the legendary Charlotte's Web, Mr. Stanley is known nationally as a singer-songwriter and locally as a great story teller. He calls himself "a freelance human being," and he is composer of sixteen albums; his most famous one being "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Recently Mr.
Stanley toured with former Monkee, Peter Tork. As a bit of trivia, Mr. Stanley has played extra background roles in almost every episode of "Star Trek Deep Space Nine." Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance at JustGoods Fair Trade Store, 201 Seventh Street in Rockford. Store is open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm.
