REALTALK LUNCH&LEARN:ADHD/ADD Behavioral Challenges with Blair Oxford, M.Ed., LPC, AAC

NEW PROGRAM TOPIC. THE TOPIC: ADHD/ADD Behavioral and Learning Challenges Behavioral challenges impact learning challenges.  Learning challenges impact behavioral challengers. How are they related? What incident(s) n a person's life is the cause of this type of challenge? There is an increase in physicians and clinicians to apply this diagnosis to children of all ages and it continues with them through adulthood. Some researchers have determined that it may be an overused word in today's educational culture. Most primary physicians do not have either the psychological or educational training to make a diagnosis without proper assessment.  What are possible solutions to the challenges in behavior and learning a child or adult may exhibit? The focus of this program is to expand participant’s knowledge and skills in the treatment of mental disorders identified as ADHD, ADD and other behavioral and learning challenges.

Objectives include: - Definition of ADHD and ADD - Recognizing Signs & Symptoms of ADHD and ADD - Whole Person Care and Creating A Positive Plan of Action - Building A Support Team for Individuals and Families THE REALTALK LUNCH&LEARN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM This educational program is free and open to anyone in the community who is interested in the community.
