Pushing Paper: Realizing the Potential of Paper seeks work that explores and manipulates the materiality of paper, as well as works on paper, including watercolor, oil, photography, prints, digital work, and drawings. Artists are invited to provide a juxtaposition of traditional styles and cutting-edge practices. In addition to 2-D works in all media, sculpture, and installation are all encouraged. Submitting Entries: BAC Members: $30 for the first three images, $5 for each additional image. Non-members: $40 for the first three images, $5 for each additional image. To become a member, visit, www.barrettartcenter.org/membership Juror: Paul Wong, Master Papermaker Paul Wong is Artistic Director (retired 2017) of Dieu Donné and a master papermaker/artist who has collaborated with artists such as Chuck Close, Richard Tuttle, Jim Hodges, Ursula Von Rydingsvard, Louise Bourgeois, among many other major artists producing groundbreaking work in the creative papermaking medium for over 38 years.
