Part 2 of 2 Part Workshop on the Fundamentals of Kundalini Yoga

A two-part workshop Introducing the fundamentals of Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan). Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness which is designed to give an experience of elevation and well-being through raising the flow of energy - the Kundalini - in each of us. Consciousness is biological in nature, it is controlled by the secretion of chemicals in the brain. When Kundalini rises it activates these chemicals creating significant changes in consciousness. With the consistent practice of Kundalini Yoga, your heart opens and change occurs on every level of your life - body, mind, and soul. Part 1 Monday, April 22nd 5 pm,2 hr introduction to Kundalini Yoga FundamentalsCovering what each aspect is, the benefits and how to do them.  Yogic Breath & Pranayama, Mantra’sMudra’s  Part 2 Monday, May 6th 5 pm, 2-hours continuing the introduction to Kundalini Yoga Fundamentals In part two we will learn about  Body locks Kriya’s & PosturesMeditation We will bring the fundamentals together in a Kundalini Yoga Kriya (series of postures designed for specific effects) We will culminate each workshop with a gentle gong meditation during a deep relaxation after yoga What to wear - white cotton, comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, cotton head covering suggested What to bring - water bottle, natural fiber mat, sheepskin, blanket, a shawl to cover with during deep relaxation.

These two introductory workshops to Kundalini Yoga Fundamentals will provide a good foundation for those who wish to attend Kundalini Yoga classes. With enough community interest classes will be held weekly on Monday afternoons from 5 pm to 6:15 pm.  FAQsWhat are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
