WVU Parkersburg and the Highmark Foundation present - "Opioid Addiction: Educating, Responding, Treating." This three-part series is designed to bring opioid addiction awareness to the MOV. Join us Thursday, April 5 at 6 p.m. in the College Theatre for part 2 of this series. This panel will feature first responders and an emergency room physician who will discuss what happens in a drug overdose response and the aftermath. Speakers to attend: Patrick Morrisey, West Virginia Attorney General Joe Martin, Parkersburg Police Chief Dr. Teresa Wamer Bigley, Marietta Memorial Hospital Jake Carr, St. Joseph's Ambulance Services Operations Director The final event in the series takes place Thursday, April 12 at 6 p.m. in the College Theater featuring a panel discussion focusing on treatment for opioid addiction.
