NewSCRipts: Origin Story by Nathan Alan Davis

A Staged Reading of ORIGIN STORY by Nathan Alan Davis directed by Casey Stangl About ORIGIN STORY Margaret and Val work unhappily at The Services Corporation, but don’t really know what the company does. They meet frequently at the water cooler to wade through triviality. By night, Margaret works a second job to pay down debt at The Burg, a fast food joint. Overtired and ungrounded, and abandoned by her parents at birth, Margaret doesn’t know who she is or what she’s aiming for. Through co-workers and friends, this existential crisis begins to turn around as connections are found in the most unsuspecting of places. Origin Story is a quirky comedy about the banality of modern life and how we inadvertently resist finding meaning when connecting in an unconnected world.
