On March 19th at 10 am, the Government Administration and Elections committee will hold a public hearing on HB 5421, the National Popular Vote bill, in ROOM 2A of the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Ave. - Whether or not you can make it, you can: -- Email / call your state rep. and state senator and ask them to support the bill, H.B. 5421. You can email using this link: or call (860) 240‑0100 and ask to speak with your state representative -- Share your thoughts with the Government Administration and Elections Committee, please email a few paragraphs of testimony as a Word or PDF attachment to *BCC* so we can track testimony to our goal of 100 supportive pieces. This hearing will decide the fate of the bill to have Connecticut join the National Popular Vote Compact, an agreement to elect the president by national popular vote. A STRONG TURNOUT WILL SEND A STRONG MESSAGE TO THE LEGISLATURE AND THE COUNTRY: IT'S TIME TO ELECT THE PRESIDENT BY NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE. ------------------- Parking ------------------- There is limited public parking available in the Legislative Office Building parking garage, 300 Capitol Ave. There is also metered on-street parking, paid parking lots nearby, and un-metered parking on side streets near the Legislative Office Building.
