Mills Lake Hike in Rocky Mountain National Park

Trail facts Mills Lake is located in the Rocky Mountain National Park.  It's a 4.9 mile moderately trafficked trail, out and back.  Please note dogs are not allowed in the park. Also a Parks pass is required, carpooling is encouraged. Afterwards lets fuel up at Ed's Cantina & Grill in Estes Park, no worries if you have to head home after the hike and skip the rendezvous afterwards.  Organizer will be in touch a couple days before the event to discuss carpool and can fit 4 people in their jeep and has a park pass.   For more information visit All Trails information, What can I bring into the event? - Water at least 2 Liters  (please let us know if you need a water bottle, we can provide one for you).

- Hiking shoes (if you don't have any, please let us know.  Keen Footwear has provided us with shoes so people can rent them, free of charge).  - Layered clothing, jacket, shirt, and fleece, hiking pants and possibly long underwear underneath, warm socks and another to change in afterwards. (let us know if you need any of the above, we can figure something out) Colorado weather is tricky, you never know what you're hiking in. - Backpack, (again if you need one, we can provide it). - Snacks. - Snoeshoes, microspikes (we love Kahtoola MICROspikes), or traction grips (suggested, Yaktrax, ICEtrekkers). - Trekking poles, we have some to rent. - Gloves, hat, and scarf. - Five dollars in cash for each person, if carpooling, to assit with gas. (If money is an issue, no worries, let us know and we can work it out).
