DESCRIPTION This 1-day class is designed to teach the student the basics of human tracking. The student will learn to identify track indicators, dynamics of a foot print, rules of tracking, lost spoor procedures, individual tracking techniques, and tracking team formations in regards to search and rescue. GEAR REQUIREMENTS: Hiking boots (broken in), cap or bandana, small day pack, clothing appropriate for the season, water container, rain gear (jacket or poncho), lunch or snacks easily prepared in the field. Each class is limited to 12 students. Upon successful completion, a certificate of training is awarded to the student. ATOA / APOST creditable class.
