Homer Public Library
If you are 11-14 years old, learn how to code at the library.
GUEST EXPERT: Kasey Aderhold, Project Associate at Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology
meets each Thursday for 7 weeks (November 2 - December 21). We will learn about and experiment with key coding and computer science ideas and each teen will design an app on their own or with friends. (Teens will have more time to work on their app during the App Lab in January.)
Each week we will focus on an individual concept and include both unplugged and online activities. As part of the program, teens will get a student account at code.org so they can keep working outside of the program time at the library or at home or if they need to learn about concepts missed.
This program is free and registration is NOT required.
