Herbal Salts and Sugars Workshop

Join Folk Herbalist Amber Kennedy of Boheme Botanika Herbals in this fun and educational herbal workshop. There are many ways to turn your garden grown and wild foraged herbs into remedies. Infusing their healing properties into a salt or sugar to use for culinary purposes or for healing and beauty care is a a beautiful way to capture the therapeutic benefits of herbs and botanicals. Visit beautiful Agronomy Vineyard for an early afternoon of learning and hands on creating. In this workshop you will: -Take a leisurely stroll around the vineyard learning how to identify and use a few of the plants on the property -Learn all about the healing benefits of some of the herbs you will be using like Lavender, Spruce and White Pine, Rose and many more. -Sample some herbal culinary salts and sugars with an assortment of fresh fruits and veggies while sipping herbal tea or wine.

-Discuss herbal remedies and botanical skincare products like sugar scrubs and sea salt soaks and create either a tasty culinary salt blend or a fragrant sea salt and herb bath soak of your own to take home. Your ticket includes all handouts, samples, herbs and supplies, tea and light refreshments as well as a pour of either wine or cider and a commemorative glass to take home. Space is limited and tickets are available via Eventbrite. Additional refreshments such as cheese, crackers and chocolate are available for purchase. This is a great Mother's Day gift. Their dream of opening a farm and vineyard is the result of their interest in science and technology but is also fueled by their desire to expand on the “cube” and corporate life and take a more hands on approach to what it means to work. The idea came about as a result of their desire to make quality craft goods on their own property and to create a place where people could have an experience bringing nature, friends, and high quality handcrafted goods together.
Agronomy Farm Vineyard was established as an idea on their honeymoon in 2011 in Tahiti but would not come to fruition until they purchased the property in Oakham in 2013. The 1.85 acre vineyard was planted in May of 2014 with half of the vines a red varietal, Marquette and the other half a white varietal called Cayuga. The tasting room was built and opened for the first time in October of 2018. They offer handcrafted wine and cider in the tasting room and produce pure maple syrup on the farm as well. They have recently opened their farm and vineyard to weddings and events.
