Join community herbalist Katie Keath Silva for a hands on herbal medicine workshop in Hood River.Katie Keath has found that by focusing on one healing plant at a time, we can make deep life long relationships with plant allies that we can incorporate into our lives for physical, emotional and spiritual health. This month we focus on Dandelion. Join us as we first meet the plant with our senses and intuition, then move into the physical relationship with the plant through botany identification, direct connection and appreciation, harvest and medicine making. You will leave the workshop with new herbal medicine making skills, new understanding of herbal medicine concepts and applications, a handful of herbal medicine that you harvested and created yourself and a new reciprocal allyship with a local abundant healing plant ally that may deeply support you and continue to deepen for the rest of your life.
In the Columbia River Gorge, we are surrounded by native and introduced healing plants that we can integrate into our lives as foods, medicines and as psycho spiritual support. In this workshop we will focus on the powerful medicine of Dandelion and learn how to engage directly with this plant in an ethical and sustainable way.
