Laurelhurst Market is a brasserie-inspired steakhouse, full service butcher shop, and neighborhood bar brought to you by chef-owners David Kreifels, Jason Owens, and Benjamin Dyer of Your Neighborhood Restaurant Group. Other YNRG restaurants include La Luna Cafe, Ate-Oh-Ate Hawaiian Restaurants, Big's Chicken, and Reverend's BBQ. The kitchen at Laurelhurst Market is led by Chef Benjamin Bettinger and Sous Chef Jon Anderson, who craft bold flavors that allow high-quality ingredients to shine center stage. Vermont native Ben Bettinger moved to Portland in 2001 to attend Culinary School. His dedication and leadership in school resulted in a coveted internship with Vitaly Paley. Ben’s commitment and hard work earned him a promotion to sous chef and then chef de cuisine at Paley's Place, where the restaurant thrived under his leadership.
