Grocery Music Festival 2019
Grocery Music Festival Event Information: Collins and Wisham Jellies are thrilled to announce that we will host the second annual Grocery Music Festival at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village (formerly known as the Georgia Agrirama) on October 19, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Tifton, Georgia. Due to the amazing support we received at last year’s festival, we’ve decided to expand and change locations so our guests can experience more vendors, more live musical performances, and more delicious food from our local South Georgia/North Florida community. Last year we brought you a grilled cheese competition and this year it’s all about the wings. Not only will we have wings for you to sample at the event, but we will also have two wing eating competitions and a wing cook-off.
Please see the information below. Grocery Music Festival has the ultimate goals of bringing diverse communities in surrounding areas together for a day of food, music, and shopping while working collectively to feed families in need in the local Tifton Community. This year we will again feed families through two methods: 1) A portion of the proceeds will be used to feed local families and 2) we invite all attendees to bring a canned food item that will be donated to families through a local charity. About Collins and Wisham Jellies: Collins is a historic grocery store in Tifton, Georgia that was revamped to be a premier event space that hosts holiday events, high school reunions, graduation parties, music festivals, and more. Wisham Jellies is a food company that crafts handmade, delicious pepper jellies in South Georgia and their products are sold in grocery stores across the United States. Grocery Music Festival History: Milton Hall Jr., the CEO of Collins, and Eric Wisham, the owner of Wisham Jellies both recognize that food is and can be used to bring diverse communities together. When a person enters a grocery store, they enter a space filled with chances to create dishes from various communities that can ultimately be used as an opportunity to experience new cultures different from one’s own. The Grocery Music Festival is the recognition that we all, no matter our background, love two things: food and music. We invite you to join us for this amazing event. There are several ways we welcome our community to participate in the Grocery Music Festival: Become a sponsor: You or your organization can sponsor the Grocery Music Festival for $100.
