Google My Business & Facebook Live Workshop

The St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau will hold a social media workshop to cover Google My Business and Facebook Live on Wednesday, May 8, 8:30 a.m. - noon, at the First Coast Technical School. Cost is $45 per person.  Google My Business is a free account that places your business across all Google products online, including maps and search, making it easier than ever for customers to find you and for you to find new customers. Learn how to optimize and manage your listing, post offers and events and guard against inaccurate customer feedback. This workshop is intended to show you how to create your account. However if you want to set up your Google My Business account during the workshop, you must first verify your business to claim your listing.

You already have an engaging Facebook page, now you can connect with your followers in real time with live streaming video. Broadcast to the largest audience in the world and have authentic conversations with your followers. Learn the do's and don't's of posting beautiful, engaging live videos, when Live may NOT be the way to go, how to cross-post to multiple pages, and get tips on shooting and basic equipment. The workshop will be conducted by Kevin McNulty, President/CEO of Netweave Social Business, a company the VCB has worked with to guide our destination's awareness and consumer interest through Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Instagram and Pinterest.
Cost per person is $45. (There is a $4.28 fee for processing that is charged by Eventbrite) Continental breakfast and coffee will be provided. You may bring your laptop, however it is not necessary. Please make sure your electronic devices are fully charged. Wi-Fi will be available.  Free parking is available. This workshop is supported by the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra Visitors & Convention Burea. This event is not sponsored by FCTC or the St. Johns County School Board.   FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? The main gate for the First Coast Technical College is at the corner of Collins Avenue and Del Monte Drive. The workshop will be held in Building C. Free parking is available near Building C.  Look for the sign for the Bookstore.
The classroom is located down the hall from the bookstore – last door on the left. It is called the Demonstration Kitchen.  What can I bring into the event? You are encouraged but not required to bring your laptop or tablet. Free Wi-Fi is available. Please make sure your electronic devices are fully charged. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Contact Kathy Catron at kcatron@floridashistoriccoast.com  Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You do not have to bring your printed ticket. You can show the ticket on your smartphone and we will have a registration list at the door upon check-in.   Is my registration fee or ticket transferable? Yes your ticket is transferable. If you purchase a ticket and want to transfer that ticket to someone else in your organization, you must let the organizer know.
