Gilbert Municipal Court 8th Annual Summer Court Conference

Gilbert Municipal Court Summer Court Conference The Gilbert Municipal Court welcomes court employees to participate in a full day (or half day) of training, education and networking.  This is a FREE COJET opportunity scheduled for June 19th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.  All classes offer practical tools for working within the court environment as well as an opportunity to further your education within the judicial branch. Morning Session: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - 'Five Generations at Work'  Trainers:  Richard DeGraff For the first time in American history we have five different generations working side-by-side in the workplace.  Generational differences affect everything from recruiting to building strong, productive teams; from dealing with change to motivating and managing employees with diverse needs, values, and expectations.

Research indicates that people communicate based on their generational backgrounds. Since each generation has district attitudes, behaviors, expectations, habits and motivational buttons, it's important that we learn, together, how best to communicate. 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. - Lunch on your own Afternoon session: 1:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.  - 'New and Everchanging World of Gangs ' Trainer: Terry Burchett This class will focus on current issues regarding gangs and their connection to organized crime. Topics to be covered are current gangs and their relation to prison gangs, MS-13 gangs, OMG's, Tattoos, Radical groups and transient organized crime and career criminals.  Not familiar with these gangs?  Then come join us and also learn about the significant impact they have on the judicial system.
