Fifth Annual Maine Herbalist Gathering

Event Details:5th Annual Maine Herbalist GatheringSaturday, October 5th 9am-5pmMerryspring Nature Center, ME Full Schedule and class descriptions available on our website in the blog and news section. Merryspring has one indoor classroom space, a gazebo, and we will have additional tent spaces to have classes under. It is open to the public and located right off Route One with ample trails to walk on as well as gardens to explore. There is no camping onsite, but local camping can be found at Camden Hills State Park nearby. We encourage you to post on the event's facebook wall to see if a fellow herbalist in the area may have camping and/or bedspace available to you. Tickets In an attempt to increase accessibility we have opted to use a sliding scale ticketing model.

Prices range from $45 to $75. Please select the highest level you can afford. By choosing a higher tier you are supporting a lower income attendee. All folks Indigenous to North America are welcome to join us at no cost. Please select the Indigenous Attendee ticket so we have an accurate number for our lunch count. Babies in arms are free. We will have kids programing this year, and there are limited number of kids tickets available. All children must have a kid's ticket in order to attend - this includes the kids of our teachers & presenters. Thank you. Lunch and Snacks Menu Volunteering Volunteers make this event happen, and we are grateful for your help.  Volunteer tickets for the 2019 Gathering are $20.

There are a total of 11 volunteer opportunities, and while you may be tasked with a specific role, we may also call on you for assistance as needed later in the day. You will be emailed a coupon code to purchase your ticket when selected. Please apply by August 1st and feel free to email us with any questions. Please be aware that volunteer spots may fill prior to 8/1. Scholarships We are offering two full scholarships for a Maine based person who identifies as LGBTQAI, POC, and/or disabled in an effort to increase accessibility. Applications due July 1st, 2018. Scholarship applicants should send an email to that contains the following info:- Name, gender pronouns, & contact info- In 350 words or less please tell us about yourself, and why this event is important for you to attend.
Vendors  We have a number of spaces available for people to sell their herbal products. Vendor information is found here  *Please note that vendors need to purchase a general admission ticket in addition to paying the tabling fee. Following approval of your application and your purchase of a general admission ticket, we will send you a link to pay the tabling fee. *Vendors who are also teaching a class are not required to purchase a general admission ticket What to Bring  - Comfortable clothing for being outdoors (might be warm or cold) and rain gear if necessary - Camp or lawn chair - Dishes for lunch: mug/cup, bowl, plate, and utensils - Items for trade / barter or items to sell if you have vendor space (optional) - Business cards and flyers (optional) .
