HOA & CONDO BOARD CERTIFICATION SEMINAR - ST. Augustine Presented by Ansbacher Education - Course #9627385 -  Board Certified Community Association Attorneys Barry B. Ansbacher and Christene M. Ertl will instruct this course.d This course meets the requirement by Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for Board Member Certification and counts as 2.0 Continuing Education Credits Hours for CAMs. Both course instructors are attorneys who are Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Condominium and Planned Development Law.   This course is designed for current and future board members of condominium or homeowner associations; however, you do not need to be a board member to participate. Anyone interested in learning more about their community association is also welcome to attend.

Attendees will learn the legal requirements for board and membership meetings, legal duties of board members, enforcement of covenants, introduction to laws governing condominium and homeowner associations, legal requirements for voting and elections, financial reporting and budget preparation, official records requirements, dispute resolution, and the rights and responsibilities of homeowners, board members and associations. This course has been approved by the Department of Business and Professional Regulations Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes. Board members who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of the fulfillment of their educational requirements. Instructors: BARRY B. ANSBACHER is the managing partner at Ansbacher Law.
He has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of Florida community association law, including development of new communities and condominium associations, turnover of control to homeowners, defective construction claims and ongoing operations of condominium and homeowner associations. Barry Ansbacher is the only attorney in the State of Florida to hold triple board certification by The Florida Bar in Real Estate Law, Construction Law and Condominium and Planned Development Law. Barry Ansbacher is well known for successfully representing community associations in complex construct defect litigation cases against some of America’s largest home builders. He regularly lectures on association law to fellow lawyers at the Florida Bar Construction Law Institute, to professional community association managers, and to neighborhood leaders.
He was the original author of the chapter on subdivisions for The Florida Bar’s book, Florida Real Property Complex Transactions.  Barry is a licensed instructor certified by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. CHRISTENE M.  ERTL is a senior partner at Ansbacher Law who is board certified by The Florida Bar in Condominium and Planned Development Law.  She has represented hundreds of Florida condominium and homeowner associations for more than 18 years and has fully devoted her practice to community association law. Christene Ertl is well-respected throughout North Florida for her pragmatic legal advice to managers and board members. She has represented associations in court and before the Florida Division of Condominiums arbitration panels.
Christene is an active member of the Executive Council of the Florida Bar, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and member of The Florida Bar’s Condominium Law Committee. She is a founding member and vice-president of The St. Augustine American Inn of Court.  Christene is a licensed instructor certified by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. .
