Cotton Patch Gospel - Phil Kaufmann-  Benefit Concert for Hunger

This afternoon event will feature Phil Kaufmann performing the “Cotton Patch Gospel,” the greatest story ever retold.  It's a one-man, five-piece play and concert that's a modern retelling of the book of Matthew about the birth and life of Jesus Christ, set in Georgia.  For a sample video/song, click here. Phil is pleased to bring this show in support of with two local and one national organization:   FARM STEW is a recipe of abundant life designed to equip poorest African families in the countries of Uganda, Zimbabwe, and South Sudan with the skills they need to thrive. With the support of donors, the 22 African staff have trained 51,000 Africans to date.  FARM STEW is a homegrown nonprofit based in Princeton, IL and led by Joy Kauffman, MPH.  Hungry World Farm.

Seeking the well-being of all, Hungry World Farm inspired and educates people about healthy fields, foods, and bodies while caring for the earth.  Hungry World farm is based in Tiskilwa, IL and participates in the local Princeton Farmers Market. WhyHunger was founded in 1975 by the late musician Harry Chapin and Radio DJ Bill Ayres on the fundamental belief that access to nutritious food is a human right and hunger is a solvable problem in a world of abundance.  For more than 40 years, WhyHunger has proven that change is possible and that justice can prevail. The concert has a suggested admission of $10, with a free-will offering during the show.  Generous support has been given such that ALL proceeds will be used to fight hunger in support of these ministries.
