Cook Castle Dinner Tour with Lisa Cook
This evening is all about the country music band ALABAMA and Jeff Cook's wife, Lisa Cook and her band "Me & The Girls". These ladies are fantastic. It's been 40 years since a trio of young cousins left Fort Payne, Alabama, to spend the summer playing in a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, bar called The Bowery. It took Randy Owen, Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook six long years of tip jars and word of mouth to earn the major label deal they'd been dreaming of, but then seemingly no time at all to change the face of country music. Our first stop will be to tour the ALABAMA Fan Club and Museum. Next, we will make the short drive to Jeff Cook’s Castle to enjoy the rest of our evening with his lovely wife, Lisa Cook. Cook Castle was designed and built in the 1980’s by country music hall of fame member Jeff Cook, of the country supergroup ALABAMA, and his wife, Lisa Cook.
The castle is situated on over 50 acres atop Lookout Mountain in Fort Payne, Alabama. The castle can be rented for large and small events such as weddings and business meetings. During this evening out, you will get to meet Lisa Cook and experience a private tour of the castle. A guide will tell you about each room as you walk through the 15,000 square foot home. You will see full size deer standing on a mantle, a waterfall flowing into their exquisite outdoor pool , Jeff's private "Cool Stuff" room, and a whole lot more. The details of each room and the different cultures represented are a true delight to see. After the castle tour, you will partake in an elegant private dinner party with Lisa Cook and have a Q&A session. How did she meet Jeff? How many records has she herself recorded? What inspired her when decorating the castle? Does she like attending the CMA awards? This is sure to be an interesting evening. Lisa and her band "Me & The Girls" are also going to perform for us. There may even be other surprises so don’t miss out. Anyone age 21+ is welcome to bring a bottle of white wine to enjoy during the evening. Please do not bring red wine. The carpets are light in color and red wine spills are too hard to clean. We will meet in Scottsboro at Dunham’s at 3pm. Everyone must sign a liability waiver before we depart. Anyone who wants to join the bus from the Fort Payne area can met us at the ALABAMA Fan Club in the parking lot. You must still purchase a ticket through our link. We will arrive at the Fan Club by 3:45pm. We should arrive back in Scottsboro around 9pm. $79 – includes round trip transportation by charter bus with bathroom onboard, admission to Alabama Fan Club Museum, admission for a private Cook Castle Tour, private white tablecloth dinner party with Lisa Cook and a Q&A session with Lisa Cook. A private mini-concert with Lisa and her band "Me & The Girls". There will also be plenty of dancing, laughing and socializing.
