The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) class was designed with statistics and factual information. During the class, participants will be exposed to lessons learned from past events and how the human mind and body reacts to an active attack through Disaster Response Psychology. Typical and Atypical active shooter and active attack events will be discussed as well as the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) protocols. Participants will also learn inside details about the Virginia Tech attack and hear from one of the shooting survivors. All in all, this class will give the public information on how to react should they find themselves in one of these life or death types of situations. The next class will be held on June 5th 2019 from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Tenn.

High School Auditorium. Any questions about the class or hosting one should be directed to Lt. Brian Hess at (423) 989-3453..
