Cards Against Humanity Giving Tournament

Tis the season for giving and J&J Mystery Events wants to help give back to our community. This holiday season we have committed to helping a few families in need. We want to help provide presents for children and food for a special holiday meal. Come help us and have fun while you do it. Join us for a Cards Against Humanity Giving Tournament. Here's how it works: $5 minimum donation to play and ALL money received will go to help families in need this holiday season. We will purchase gifts and food for the families. Then all gifts and food will be delivered to the families the morning before Christmas by Santa himself. There will be three rounds. Card czar will be as per rules, rotating amongst the table's players. Each player will be dealt seven cards , and will have the option to buy up to ten extra "one shot" cards to be used at their leisure.

One shots are a $1 donation per card with a maximum of 10. Round one will be 20 minutes or until someone reaches five points, whichever comes first. First and second place will advance to a winner's bracket in round two. All others will advance to a second bracket for a wildcard slot for round three. Round two will be 30 minutes, highest points at each table wins. The first place winners from round one will play each other with the top two points earners advancing. The second place winners from round one will play each other with the top two points earners advancing. A tie breaker final hand will be held should there be a tie for second place. Only the top points earner in the wildcard bracket will advance. Round three will be the top two from the first and second place tables and the winner of the wildcard table.

There will be prizes for the players who win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the final round. Come join in the fun and know you helped local families in need. ***If you have never played Cards Against Humanity, you should know that their slogan is "A party game for horrible people." Which means you need to bring a sense of humor with you, but overall it is a very fun game. *** Due to the nature of the game we limiting this event to those 18+

I (Jessica) have personally committed to helping two families in need this holiday season. I will be giving to these families, regardless of how much money is raised at this event. We just want to be able to give more to them. One of the families has a child battling cancer and they are unable to work and pay bills.

We want to give this family and another family who have fallen on hard times, a reason to smile this holiday season.
