Camp Innoventure Deming - 2019
2019 Deming Camp Innoventure Registration Session Date: For 6th, 7th, 8th-grade graduates who are entering the 6th-8th grade in August 2019 Greetings Parents. Camp Innoventure is an exciting week of learning how to start your own business, and then actually doing it. Students will learn how to: Brainstorm business ideasWrite a mission statementPut together a short business plan Create and sell a product at the Deming Farmers' Market Camp Innoventure is the perfect summer event for upcoming 6th – 8th graders. Registration Deadline: June 8 What: Everyday students will be given instruction on basic business concepts and write portions of a basic business plan. Then, they will think about and develop a product to make and sell at the Deming Mainstreet Project Farmers and Craft Market.
When: Monday, June 10th - Saturday, June 15th. (see exception listed below) Exception: On Saturday at the end of camp is Market Day. Parents will drop off their Camper at a specified location at the Market, time and location will be given to parents at the start of the week. Who: Students who will be entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade in August 2019. Where: Mayor Silva Conference Center, 119 E Pine Street. We will be meeting outside of the building and will all go in together. Cost: Free to students thanks to a generous sponsorship from Capital Power and EDF Renewable Services., made possible through the Luna County Economic Development Center. All parents/students will need to complete the "fee waiver" for the free attendance fee. Students will not be able to attend camp if they have not completed and returned the fee waiver.
