Biki Open House

Save the date for the first of three Biki open houses. These public forums are free and open to anyone. They will serve as a time to share information, ask questions and gather input about Biki's plans to expand this summer. Following a brief introduction, attendees are welcome to roam between the various informational stations. Light refreshments will be served. Plans : Expansion of 30-50 Biki Stops and up to 400 bikes New Areas: UH Manoa (6-8 Biki Stops), Upper Makiki (7-10 Biki Stops), Diamond Head/KCC (3-5 Biki Stops), Iwilei (3-5 Biki Stops) 15-20 infill in the current service area Timeline: June or July Learn more at We will share the proposed site plans and specific locations, and answer any questions you might have about expansion or bikeshare in general.

Additional topics and what else you can expect: 1. Biki bike demo and pricing/how to use Biki - see the Biki bike, learn about its unique features, membership options available, and how Biki Stops work. 2. Safety and education - learn the laws and guidelines for bicyclists on the road from Hawaii Bicycling League, bike routes, and Biki Bicycling Basics workshops: 3. Community benefits (find out how bikeshare helps Hawaii meet its transportation and energy goals, alleviates traffic congestion, improves public health and supports local businesses) Representatives from major supporters Hawaii Pacific Health and HMSA will be in attendance. 4. City and County’s Complete Streets Program will answer questions about the City’s plans on bike lanes and complete streets, and how the Oahu Bike Plan aligns with Biki's expansion.
