Project SEARCH A 1-year, school-to-work internship program, for students with disabilities, in their last year of high school that takes place entirely at the workplace. Or, join us in-person to learn about the program and to have your questions answered. 5:30pm -- Check-in 6:00pm -- Program Start Do you know a student getting ready to graduate and get a job? Project SEARCH can maximize their last year of high school by learning the skills necessary to improve your employability before entering the workforce. Transitioning from student to employee is not always easy. Project SEARCH is focused on building a young person’s confidence and readiness for the workplace through intensive pre-employment activities.



We believe that everyone deserves a chance to find meaningful and sustainable employment. Project SEARCH students have the opportunity to: - Obtain valuable work experience through internships in a real-life work environment - Receive individualized support on job exploration, resume building, and interviewing - Develop the social, employability, and marketable job skills to purse any job The Project SEARCH Unique Approach: - Total workplace immersion that develops transferrable skills - Strong focus on soft skills - Program partner collaboration and level of ongoing support (workforce, business, education, vocational rehabilitation, community rehabilitation, and long-term supported employment) Basic Eligibility Requirements: - Strong desire to achieve competitive employment (including working while attending post-secondary school), and the home support to achieve that goal - High school student; 18 to 21 years old; on an Individual Education Program (IEP); completed academic requirements and deferred graduation status; in last year of high school (will accept diploma at year's end) - Eligible for DVRS services - Ability to take direction and change behavior if necessary -  Can reduce skills trainer dependency after learning a set of tasks   .
