631 Pound for Pound STRONGMAN Throwdown

Come join us for an amazing day of fitness and fun.  The 631 Pound for Pound Throwdown is a Strongman style competition meant for EVERYONE.  All ages, all levels, male and female. This competition is unique in that each event will be based on your body weight.  This means all athletes will have a fair and level playing field. Men will be competing against women, 300+ pounders against 90 pounders, 70 year olds against 17 year olds.    A puchased ticket will also allow you to gain access to three Strongman classes held before the competition Saturdays at 9am.  These classes will allow those of you not familiar with these movements to become more comfortable with them, and allow seasoned vets to work on technique.   Weigh ins will be at 8:30 am sharp. There will be no use of tacky, lifting straps, grip shirts, or squat suits.

Chalk, belts, wraps (knee and wrist), lifters, and sleeves (knee and elbow) will all be permitted. Events 1. Carry Medley Farmers Walk- 50 feet- body weight in each hand Yolk Walk- 50 feet- 2x body weight on yolk Keg move- with remaining time move keg as many feet as possible Athletes will have 1 minute to acquire as many feet as possible with each implement starting with farmers walks for 50 feet, then yolk walk for 50 feet, then keg for as many feet as possible in time remaining.  Each 10 foot section moved will earn an athlete 1 point, athlete with the most overall points at the end of the minute will win event. Only completed 10 foot sections will count towards a point (meaning if an athlete farmers walks 19 feet they will only receive credit for the 10 completed feet and therefore score one point).
 Measurements will be taken from the front of the apparatus moved. The keg may be picked up, shouldered, front racked, or waddled. No rolling or flipping of keg will be permitted. No wraps or tacky may be added to any implements. Chalk, knee wraps, and belts are permitted. 2. Axle Deadlift @2x Bodyweight Athletes will have 1 minute to acquire as many repetitions as possible of a double body weight axle deadlift.  Each deadlift must start fully rested on the floor and a good rep will be called at full lock out. No bouncing of bar will be permitted.  Traditional or mixed grip will be permitted. No wraps or tacky may be added to the axel. Chalk, knee wraps, and belts are permitted. The athlete with the most successful lifts will win the event.     3. Stone to Shoulder Stone Weights- 60, 100, 160, 185, 215, 250, 285, 300 Athletes will have 1 minute to acquire as many repetitions as possible of a stone to shoulder.
 Athletes must start not touching stone with stone completely rested on the ground. Athlete will successfully complete a good repetition when stone is fully rested and controlled on athletes shoulder while athlete is fully standing upright, knees locked, chest tall, with one hand only on stone.  All athletes will begin with 60 pound stone, upon one completed repetition athletes will move up to the next heavier stone until they reach the stone closest to their body weight. Once athlete reaches the stone closest to his or her body weight they will continue to complete repetitions of that stone with remaining time.  No wraps or tacky may be added to any implements. Chalk, knee wraps, and belts are permitted. The athlete with the most successful lifts will win event.
4. Log Clean and Jerk 75% Body Weight Athletes will be given 1 minute to acquire as many repetitions as possible of a log clean and jerk at 75% athletes body weight.  Each clean and jerk must start full rested on the floor and a good rep will be called when log is fully locked out overhead, athlete standing tall, feet placed under hips, knees and arms locked.  A strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk, or viper press will all be permitted. No bouncing of bar will be permitted. No wraps or tacky may be added to the log. Chalk, knee wraps, and belts are permitted.  The athlete with the most successful lifts will win the event. 5. Tie Breaker A special tire flip and circus dumbbell medley.
