This year I and looking to add a little fundraiser to this event. My cousin and her husband are stationed in Africa and she has been spending a lot of time at the local orphanage. She shared so much heartbreaking information with us that I have been spending time doing as much as I can to help her help these babies while she is there.
During her first visit she was informed that they had recently ran out of clean drinking water, formula, diapers and food to feed these small children (ages range from 3 months to 7 years) luckily that day she had diapers with her that her daughter had just grew out of and also had just enough money on her to get them formula to feed the babies. She does as much as she can to help out. Even if its just going to play with and love on them. This is a much bigger job that 1 person can take on so I have been doing everything I can to help. I have been able to send over 3 big boxes filled with formula, infant cereal, diapers, shoes, clothing etc but I want to do more. I don't know if or how they celebrate Christmas but my goal is to help fill these children's lives with joy and help make things easier if just for a little while.
With this being said I am going to have a table set up to collect donations to send over. Their biggest needs are diapers, formula and infant cereal. Along with the table I will have a collection jar set up. If you can't afford to donate items but are able to just donate $1.00 it will go a long way. Any...
