The Philadelphia Orchestra’s college student ticket program, eZseatU, kicks off its 2017-18 season with the 10th annual Free College Concert on Tuesday, September 19. After an amazing subscription debut at the end of last season, Assistant Conductor Kensho Watanabe will be conducting this year’s concert. Artist-In-Residence Hilary Hahn, will perform Dvořák’s Violin Concerto. The program will also include Bernstein’s Symphonic Suite from “On the Waterfront” and more. The free concert in Verizon Hall is open to all full-time college students in the greater Philadelphia region with a valid student ID. Pre-concert entertainment begins at 6:30 PM with a performance by the University of Pennsylvania Marching Band. Immediately following the concert, the party continues in the Kimmel Center’s Commonwealth Plaza, where The Bad Bees will perform, and free food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
