Staten Island Arts’s Fall Technical Assistance conference supports local artists, arts educators and cultural organizations through interactive workshops and lectures that help our cultural community grow their abilities to provide services and projects. The conference offers local artists a professional development opportunity that will help them to excel in the industry, be informed about current practices and trends in the cultural sector, and network with peers. On Saturday November 4, Staten Island Arts will welcome New York Foundation for the Arts to Richmond County for its Fall Conference.

Staten Island Arts is honored to work with NYFA, one of the country’s most esteemed service organizations. NYFA staff and affiliated consultants will present the organization’s popular “Artist as Entrepreneur Boot Camp, which offers a blend of lectures and breakout groups on topics such as strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, and finance. Participants will work through a flexible and dynamic “action plan” and business model that will provide a blueprint for action and financial responsibility. More information about NYFA can be found at https://www.nyfa.org/ The Boot Camp will be held on Saturday Nov. 4 from 10am-4pm at 8 Navy Pier Court, across from ArtSpace@Staten Island Arts. This daylong event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided by Staten Island Arts.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at 9:30 for registration and coffee. Space is limited to 35 participants, so make your reservation as soon as possible using the link above. This program is made possible through funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with City Council and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo.
